ECE Paraeducator - 6.5hrs (Del Paso/PC#250575)
Position Summary: Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Salary: $16.93 - $22.38 per hour in 9 annual steps
Location: Del Paso
Hours: 6.5 hours/day; 5 days/week

The position requires a High School diploma and 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre-school age children. Requires successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment. Requires one year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Require
May require a valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement

- CPR/First Aid Certification (Requires a valid First-Aid card and CPR certificate)
- NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam administered only by TRUSD, RLUSD, NSSD, GJUHSD or DPHSD)
- Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED))
